It always bothers me to hear the Masters of War described with the word "Defense". Wars don't really start on the borders. War starts in the Board Rooms. A war that doesn't get financed is a war that never happens.

They agree on foreign and economic policies. Any dissent is just for show and never pushed hard enough to force a different outcome. They actually dissent on social issues, but only if their position doesn’t have an impact on foreign policy or economics. It’s what they use to get elected , but don’t ever seem to make any progress on, because they are the issues they use to get elected. Think hard on those last sentences. Your neighbor is not your enemy and likely has holistically more in common with you than you think. We’re just trained to focus on and hate our differences so we pick a side. Both sides are just running around attacking windmills and we wonder why our chosen side is so ineffective.
