SpaceX to the Moon
Yesterday, a SpaceX rocket smashed into the side of the moon, leaving a massive crater. This gives us yet another reminder that even the richest people in the world make massive, costly mistakes while facing no accountability. SpaceX is the hobby of a ketamine-addicted billionaire, and rather than paying taxes on his wealth, he leeches off our tax dollars. Billionaires like him should not exist in a society where millions of people can’t afford the basics. A handful of people have enough wealth to shape politics, influence governments, and have you and me pay for their failures. Billionaires don’t care about our society. They don’t care about you or me, and they don’t care about any damage they might cause to the Earth or now even the moon. They only care about themselves because they’re narcissistic animals. There are no ethical billionaires in existence and they never will be. All of this is not a sign of a healthy economy or society. It’s a sign that wealth and power have become far too concentrated and must be broken up.
Note: this image is based on the incredibly iconic scene from the 1902 silent film A Trip to the Moon (Le Voyage dans la Lune). Directed by Georges Méliès.
