Trump’s first term was mostly a humongous shop of horrors, but from time to time a few things I was actually glad to see peeked out. The commutations and pardons for Alice Johnson and others caught in America’s drug war were the right call. The Department of Veterans Affairs Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act was another solid move. I agreed with the temporary eviction freeze during Covid, and Operation Warpspeed did push the vaccine out fast. He signed the First Step Act. He signed the Great American Outdoors Act, which locked in funding for land and water conservation and put billions toward fixing national parks. Those were rare bright spots that I will still applaud.

The same cannot be said about his second term. It has been one shit show mess stacked on another, a non-stop pileup you cannot you anre forced to look at everyday. As his mind goes the way of the Biden, things are only going to get worse.
