How many kids die of gun or knife crime in schools in the US every year? How many die in Europe? Why is it different? There is clearly a problem but banning guns in a country awash with guns and beset by gun toting gangs within and without the borders seems like an asinine strategy. The question Americans have to ask themselves is why the people (especially the kids) are picking up the guns and knives in the first place? Hint: nothing to do with CRT or intersectional victim hood, except perhaps the feelings of victim hood imbued by these Woke false prophets and grifters.
Acknowledging the problem is the first step in addressing it and there has been a shocking lack of such acknowledgment of problems and their real root causes in the past decade or so, maybe longer [Race relations, poverty, climate, Covid, Gender, you name it all lacking critical thinking, real data based discussion and rife with misdirected policy, Why?].
Compare the number of kids who are dying by gunshot in schools vs dying or being injured of/by mysterious heart conditions, actual vax adverse events and suicide. Consider the causes of all childhood unnatural deaths and you get back to government and department of education and school board and teachers Union and health care policy. The gun issue is real but it seems to me to be a symptom of a deeper cancer in American society and it is creeping into all of the West so what happens in America is the business of all of the West.
Please remember who you are, who we in the West are, and stop the stupid partisan political squabbles before dystopia is visited upon you. Your cartoons should be about the state of the Nation, and by extension the state of the Western experiment in freedom and democracy and not party biased hobby horses like gun control, abortion, etc. This is the great issue of our time. Wake up and see the 4 horsemen and their cavalry galloping towards you, one of em sits in the Oval Office (another pulling his strings), others are unelected self appointed masters of the West, but others still sit in the other side of the political divide (hardly noticeable anymore in the uniparty era). You system is corrupted, so are all those in the West but in Europe we are seeing this and beginning to fight back for our hard won freedoms, that our parents and grandparents and great grandparents fought and died for. That’s why you see seismic political change and protest like in Sweden, Italy, Austria, Spain, the UK (failed Brexit but we ain’t done yet), France and more. As yet only limited in Canada (Woke central) Australia and NZ but Americans seem to be waking up at last, it started with the threat to their kids and rightly so. Your sentiment and object (the kids) is absolutely right Daniel, your assessment of the root causes is not. Look again, please, and join the size of the angels, the side of freedom and not pure ideology.
I think the sycophantic "I ❤️ NRA" is the actual "feature" here. As Daniel doesn't assert any "simplistic banning" or whatever. The NRA has lost it's path, as many elder NRA members will tell you. They have gone from an enthusiast/educational organization to a marketing & glorification body AND functionaries of the political base of the gun manufacturers.
