Happy Easter, all. Today’s a good day to remember that being Christian is about being Christlike, not whatever modern-day evangelicalism has turned into. Remember to love your enemies, practice humility, choose compassion over judgment, welcome the outcast and the stranger (LGBTQ+ individuals, refugees, and immigrants), and practice radical generosity and wealth distribution. Jesus emphasized loving neighbors, caring for the poor, humility, and spiritual transformation. Modern evangelicals are often seen as emphasizing political influence, cultural warfare, and strict moralistic boundary marking.
