Bear does nothing and still wins!
I missed the terrifying story CNN broke last month, exposing a global ‘rape academy,’ but since learning about it, I’ve had time to sit and think about it. Men are on the internet posting photos and videos, teaching others how to do this, sharing tips on how not to get caught, trading content, encouraging each other, and even selling videos of them raping unconscious women, many of whom are their wives. The more than 20,000 videos had hundreds of thousands of views, and it even spread into private group chats where these men learned how to do what they saw. When you mix this with the fact that our president has been found liable for sexual assault and the Epstein files, it’s hard to deny that the world is filled with, if not run by, men who use their power to exploit or ignore women. “Believe women” isn’t just something you hear and ignore. It’s something you have to take seriously and enact in your life. You need to stop downplaying and questioning the lived experiences women go through.
